On May 25, 2016, local dignitaries and invited guests joined our nonprofit’s board of directors as they honored Roy and Betty Jura, the donors of the Fresno Aquarium property, at a groundbreaking celebration. May 4, 2016 – After completing significant site cleanup, thanks to our hundreds of Donors and Charter Members, Aquarius Aquarium Institute is now set to begin construction of our very first structure on the future Fresno Aquarium property – our Aquaculture Building.
The very first building on our property along Highway 99, approved as an aquaculture building by Fresno County in December 2015, will allow the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Aquarius Aquarium Institute to begin receiving, quarantining and growing out both freshwater and saltwater fish as well as other aquatic life.
It’s official!
Today, December 31st, 2015, we received a letter from the County of Fresno stating that Director Review and Approval Application #4400 (Aquarius Aquarium Institute’s very first building on the Fresno Aquarium property) was approved and is now final since no appeal was filed during the 15-day appeal period.
November 10, 2015 – Thanks to all our donors, (we just surpassed 1,310 blocks sold) site work on the future Fresno Aquarium property made significant progress throughout this past summer and into the fall. We still need additional support to fund our fire protection…
