August 17, 2011 – Executive Director Tom Lang had a great time being interviewed by Christine Park about our Fresno Aquarium project and Aquarius Aquarium Institute’s Teaching Tidepools™ educational outreach program.
July 14, 2011 – From June 28 through July 4th every year, we have a fireworks stand in front of the Dante Club on Grantland Avenue, just south of Herndon Avenue in Fresno. It’s just a short distance from the Fresno Aquarium property and gives us a great opportunity to interact with the neighborhood closest to our project while we sell “safe and sane” fireworks in memory of Kyle Runciman at the same time!
April 11, 2011 – Our mission: To elevate public consciousness and understanding of our aquatic world, says it all!
In keeping with our mission, Aquarius Aquarium Institute’s Earth Day focus each year is on the WATER portion of our blue planet.
December 14, 2010 – Coming up next month, Aquarius Aquarium Institute celebrates the 11th anniversary of its founding in 2000. Once again this year, we’ll be celebrating at the newly opened Appellation: California (ApCal) Wine Tasting Room in Madera California, just north of the Institute’s land planned for the Fresno Aquarium. Darren Schmall, owner of ApCal is donating a glass of wine for each guest. And Institute board member Debbie Vlaminck is creating the stunningly beautiful and elegant “birthday cake.”
March 14, 2010 – Aquarius Aquarium Institute joined with HandsOn Network for the Give-a-Day, Get-a-Disney-Day One Million campaign. Goal: The first one million participants who volunteer their time will receive a free pass to Disneyland! Our executive staff knew we would need to act fast. One million passes would no doubt be distributed by March.
