Donations to our nonprofit project are going right back into our local economy. This spring, Andrew Tuell Concrete, Inc. of Clovis poured a massive two-foot-thick concrete slab for our thirty-foot-tall fire protection water tank after our engineering plans were approved by Fresno County and the North Central Fire Protection District. This slab will provide a solid base for the tank, which will feed into a water main leading to a fire hydrant near the future aquarium building.

September 25, 2016 – Crawford Construction of Clovis worked intensely this month on the Fresno Aquarium property to grade our building pad and move our driveway slightly to the west to create space for a required 20-foot landscape strip along our shared property line with Highway 99.

May 4, 2016 – After completing significant site cleanup, thanks to our hundreds of Donors and Charter Members, Aquarius Aquarium Institute is now set to begin construction of our very first structure on the future Fresno Aquarium property – our Aquaculture Building.

The very first building on our property along Highway 99, approved as an aquaculture building by Fresno County in December 2015, will allow the nonprofit 501(c)(3) Aquarius Aquarium Institute to begin receiving, quarantining and growing out both freshwater and saltwater fish as well as other aquatic life.
