April 7, 2012 - Aquarius Aquarium Institute's 10th anniversary Earth Day Run for the Reef presented by Netafim USA to support the Fresno Aquarium project is coming up on April 21st, starting behind Edwards Cinemas at the Shops at River Park in Fresno.

April 7, 2012 - Starting with a timed 5k run at 7:30 am, race director Ken Takeuchi of Pro Race Group will also be celebrating his 10th year with the event.

For those who prefer to exercise at a more leisurely pace, bring the kids or even the dog(s), we also have a 2 mile walk that begins at 8 am. All runners and walkers receive our commemorative t-shirt (see above) and a goodie bag!

Following the Run/Walk events, our 5th annual Water Planet Adventure Day will begin at 9 am. This morning of fun runs until 1 pm requires a wristband included with each Run/Walk entry. Additional wristbands may be purchased at the event for $5 each.

Aquarius Aquarium Institute will have our living California tide pool sea creatures to see and touch, bounce houses, games, and special guests for kids to meet including the Bubble Man, George the giraffe from Children's Hospital Central California and a California Dancing Raisin! Water resource and conservation information booths, healthy snacks and a special children's concert by Oklin Bloodworth make the whole event fun for everyone!
