Construction Activity Update
September 25, 2016 - Crawford Construction of Clovis worked intensely this month on the Fresno Aquarium property to grade our building pad and move our driveway slightly to the west to create space for a required 20-foot landscape strip along our shared property line with Highway 99.
We expect Fresno County to approve our building permit this fall for our fire protection water tank that has already been constructed for us at Central Valley Tank of Fresno.
Each one of these steps are crucial before we may start construction of our very first building. The underground plumbing, grading and the water tank are all employing local Fresno workers and we are so very pleased that our donor money is going right back into to our local economy.
We need to continue selling our concrete blocks to keep this community project moving forward. As of today, we have sold 1,179 out of 2,200 large $200 blocks, but only 385 out of 2,900 regular $100 blocks, for a total of 1,564 blocks.
Consider hosting a "Block Party" by inviting your friends and neighbors to your home to chip in whatever they can afford. Remember that all donations to our nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law. The quicker the donations come in, the quicker the project will progress!
