Site Prep Work Progresses
November 10, 2015 - Thanks to all our donors, (we just surpassed 1,310 blocks sold) site work on the future Fresno Aquarium property made significant progress throughout this past summer and into the fall. We still need additional support to fund our fire protection system, which will consist of on onsite water storage tank, underground pipe and a fire hydrant. These basic infrastructure items will go in before we begin construction of our very first building.
As the holidays approach, please consider putting your name, a family member's name or your business name on one or multiple $100 or $200 concrete blocks. Since we are building this project entirely from grassroots donations from our community, the sooner we can meet our goal, the sooner the community will see the first building on our 10-acre property along Highway 99 overlooking the San Joaquin River at the northern entrance to the City and County of Fresno.
Our very first building will be used to raise the fish, corals and other aquatic life that will comprise the beginnings of our unique collection that will delight Fresno Aquarium visitors young and old for generations.
